The goal at HA+D is to provide the highest level of design and client service from the beginning concepts of a project through to the final details. We work as the client's agent, bringing together designers, consultants and craftspeople in a cohesive and collaborative environment. Our design is based on a close relationship with our clients and the project team to craft the overall aesthetic and anticpate the nuanced details which drive great projects.
Our projects are developed with an eye towards material, light and texture driven by careful massing and detailing, to create a thoughtful collection of spaces and vistas.

CASEY HUGHES
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
Casey Hughes graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2003 with a Bachelor of Architecture and Minors in Construction Management and Environmental Design. After 15+ years of designing at firms in Tahoe and Napa Valley, Casey founded Hughes Architecture+Design in 2019. He has extensive experience in residential, commercial and hospitality projects. During his time working under Howard Backen at Backen Gillam Kroeger Architects, Casey managed projects from Napa to New York and Los Angeles.
